Gaz Coombes at the Sheldonian

In 2019 I worked with Supergrass frontman and songwriting genius Gaz Coombes, writing and conducting orchestral arrangments of songs from his solo career from the his debut Here Come the Bombs, to the Mercury Prize nominated Matador, and that year's critically-acclaimed World's Strongest Man. It was a one-off bespoke gig with all proceeds going to Oxford-based charities the Young Women's Music Project and Yellow Submarine. Just in time for Christmas a limited edition LP was released, selling out pretty much instantaneously. You can, fortunately, see some songs from the gig online. Tim Hughes of the Oxford Mail gave it a 5* review, calling it 'one of the single greatest Oxford musical moments of all time'.
